Default Mo/Me imp farming

Hi everyone

This 55 monk build i use to farm ice imps. Not terribly fast but save. I don't know if I have reinvented the wheel or if it's new but here it goes

Equipment (for those who dont know 55 monks )
5 sup monk runes and grim cesta with -50 health
Any max damage wand
You will need three headpieces, a +1 protection, a +1 healing and a +1 smiting.

Attributes

Inspiration 3
Smiting 12+3+1=16
Protection 9+3=12
Healing 9+3=12
Divine 1+3=4

Skills

Signet of judgement (elite)
Bane signet
Mantra of frost
Protective bond
Balthazar's spirit
Essence bond
Mending
Watchfull spirit

When u enter a zone with many imps (outside grotto or north of copperhammer) start with equiping your protection headgear (so prot is 13) and cast protective bond. Next equip healing headgear (now healing is 13) and cast manding. You should now have +4 health regeneration and a protective bond that consumes 3 energy per hit. Cast Balthazars and regenerate energy. When you are at max energy cast essence bond.

Approach a group of imps but don't agro them yet. Cast watchfull spirit. You should now have 6 health regeneration and -1 energy regeneration. Activate mantra of frost and agro the imps.

You will lose 3 energy each time an imp damages you but you will also gain 4 energy each time an imp damages you. Their maelstorms can't interupt your signets or the mantra of frost (as it is a stance). So basicly you are immune to their attacks (except for really large groups, haven't discovered the limit). You gain energy incredibly fast. Only problem is killing them with wand and 2 signets is a bit slow.

What do you all think?

its easier to just have the basic shield of judgement build.

basically hit an imp with a longbow and run back immediately watch their red dots. If they are outside your aggro bubble they will NOT cast spells. If they are inside your aggro bubble they will cast spells. if one runs it just run away and try again till they are all outside your aggro bubble. If they are outside they will only attack with their wand making two applications of shield of judgement able to kill them

its a decent build, but the only Ice imps that drop IDS's are in Mineral Springs, so is this just for fun, or what? cause ive farmed those ice imps, not the greatest drops.

just for fun and because they have killed me often

i have changed the two signets for smite and holy strike. Both non spell attacks with faster recharge

Wow, good to see Protective Bond being used again.
Thank you for the nice build - using Conjure Frost to get back 2 energy per hit was a very good idea!
